- We proudly note the fact that our 2007 robot was lowest tech robot we have ever built
- It was built for defense with a very low gear ration for torque with a single geared transmission. It had two deployable ramps that could score 60 points in the end game by allowing our alliance partners to climb them. Espied of opponents pushing on our ramps trying to block them they’ve never failed. They were actuated by a single motor releasing a holding pin and bed springs launching the ramps upon release. In its autonomous mode it played defense, thwarting our opponent’s ability to score. By the end of the competition other teams were copying our design. Even though we were a defensive robot we were the captain of our alliance and won our first robotics regional.
- Double ramp system
- 14″ high
- Rough ramps to enhance grip
- VERY simple design
