"Who are we? We are KING TeC!"
The name KING TeC is an acronym that all of our members and mentors follow. We do our best to achieve these standards; we are proud to call ourselves KING TeC.

Every year we -like all other FIRST teams- are put to the test of building a robot that can perform certain challenges.
With a new game each year, we must always design new robots with new capabilities that are different from the previous year.
In our first year (2007), the competition was called "Rack and Roll". Our robot's design was to prevent the other team from scoring, to help our team-mates score, and at the end of a match to elevate either one or both of our teammates off the ground 14 inches to score bonus points.
In our second year, the competition was called "Overdrive". That year, our robot was able to lift a 40 inch diameter track ball off the ground to hurtle it over an overpass, or place it on top of an overpass, at the end of a match for extra points.
In our third year, the competition was called "Lunacy". We designed a robot that could shoot "Moon Rocks" into other robots' trailers, as well as dump them in the trailers. The Moon Rocks are fed from the ground, up through a conveyor belt system to the shooter.

For our fourth year, our design for the robot was for the game "Breakaway". We built a robot that has an eight wheel gimble mechanism to drive over the bumps in the field, as well as have a high standing mesh wall to block flying balls. In addition to this, it is equipped with a kicker that can launch a soccer ball across the entire game field.
Below are the people who first started KING TeC and have kept it going throughout the years.
