KTC: KING TeC Challenge – 2017 Middle School Robotics Season

About KING TeC Challenge

KING TeC Challenge (KTC) is an in-house program specifically for middle school kids (grades 6-8). It is engineered to challenge their mind in programming, mechanical building, and more. A KTC season runs for 3 months.
The program uses the VEX robot kits and parts to design, build, and program a robot. In addition to that, supporting hardware, that can be used as a part of the robot construction, would be provided by King Tec. The programing language used would be EasyC, which is an intuitive drag-and-drop interface that is used produce effective programs quickly while also learning concepts of pure C based coding.
Each year the KING TeC members and coaches come up with a game plan and a manual. A scoring system is also developed that assigns scores and penalties for the game.
The registered kids form teams of 5-6, preferably from the same grade. KING TeC members will help with team formation for those who are looking to form or join a team.
